Course Objectives: 

The aim of this course is to make students familiar with primary education settings, young children and primary education teaching as a profession.

Course Learning Outcomes: 

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. recognize the organizational structure, culture and functioning of a school, 
  2. identify the teacher’s daily practices inside and outside classroom,
  3. describe the instructional strategies used with staff to promote student learning outcomes,
  4. apply observations of classroom practices by using appropriate tools,
  5. identify the individual needs of the middle school students in the learning environment,
  1. plan short teaching and learning activities in collaboration with a mentor teacher, 
  2. evaluate teaching and learning under the supervision of a mentor teacher.
