Course Objectives:
This course aims to equip students with the knowledge of characteristics and the hallmarks of teaching profession. The course also aims to teach the foundations of education.

At the end this course, students will be able to:
- specify basic characteristics and principles of teaching profession,
- express concepts related to education,
- analyze historical, economical, cultural, legal, philosophical and psychological foundations of Turkish education system,
- discuss foundations of education on program level,
- compare cultural, economical and structural dimensions of various education systems,
