- To get students to be acquainted with the demands of language teaching profession and its methodology; and help them gradually gain their own teaching styles.
- To be able to identify different lesson stages, prepare lesson plans, practice lesson plans in class and reflect on classroom peers' teaching performance.

Upon succesful completion of this course, a student will be able to:
- analyze the different components of a lesson plan to teach English.
- acquire the knowledge and skills to design a lesson plan to teach English.
- create lesson plans to teach English to a variety of student profiles.
- learn the techniques of teaching Vocabulary and Grammar, Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing and Integrated Skills in English
- evaluate, adapt, and develop language teaching materials.
