Course Objectives:

The course aims to provide with students awareness of the role of cultural characteristics in counseling process, learn and develop some basic skills about discovering clients’ and their own cultural background, and the influences of cultural context in counseling.

Course Learning Outcomes:

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to;

1. demonstrate knowledge of multiculturalism and multicultural issues,

2. have knowledge of multicultural counseling competencies,

3. assist students to understand their own multicultural context,

4. provide students with skills in multicultural and diverse context,
