Students analyze instructional tasks and modify them to apply in their own teaching and Design mathematical tasks for assessment purposes.
Upon successful completion of this course, a student will be able to:
1. Analyze instructional tasks and modify them to apply in their own teaching.
2. Follow and identify students’ problem solving phases.
3. Diagnose students’ errors in problem solving and make instructional decisions to correct them.
4. Design mathematical tasks for assessment purposes (e.g. prior knowledge, learning process, extensions and evaluations).
5. Identify the relationships between mathematical skills (connection, communication, reasoning, representation, problem solving).
6. Evaluate own teaching and identify pedagogical goals.
7. Develop and implement activities for teaching mathematics.
8. Choose and use appropriate manipulative for teaching mathematics
