Course Objectives: 

The aim of this course is to provide learners with a general knowledge of how to carry out teaching-learning processes effectively in a classrrom setting. In this regard, the course aims to provide details about such topics as lesson plan preparation and evaluation.

Course Learning Outcomes: 

At the end of this course, students will be able to:

1. summarize basic concepts and principles related to effective teaching and learning,

2. explain the professional competence, attitude, role and behaviors of teachers,

3. prepare a sample lesson plan by drawing on different lesson plans,

4. explain the scope, benefits and limitations of micro teaching,

5. prepare active learning activities appropriate for different levels,

6. deliver a sample lesson in accord with lesson plans prepared,

7. evaluate sample lessons with appropriate evaluation techniques by drawing on video recordings.
